If you’re looking for the “real” Maine, Friendship needs to be on your itinerary. Friendship is a small fishing village located at the the "end of the road". On the tip of the peninsula protected by an archipelago of remote islands stretching into Muscungus bay. Friendship boasts the largest lobstering fleet left on the Maine Coast, secluded rocky coves beautiful vistas, a general store that may or may not have gas, but they make pretty good sandwiches, oh and we have no booze here, but we do have quite the cast of characters. This is a town, untouched by time, no motels or restaurants, it just is. Undeveloped : “the way life should be” It is an artists paradise. It is Wyeth country.
