Pastel Workshop 2009 Pastel Techniques and the Plein Air Experience Pastel Artist Pam Cabanas offers an intensive workshop full of essential tips , techniques and unique plein aire venues. Pam lives and works in nearby and beautiful Friendship, Maine. Beginining each morning with with a discussion of Pam’s approach to the pastel medium including an introduction to her owm work, and her technical approach to the pastel medium, giving the accomplished pastel artist and the beginner useful insights into an elusive medium. Then out to the field for a long afternoon at the easel. Pam will be taking you to secluded and dramatic coastal painting spots tucked in the crags and crannies of the secluded fishing village of Friendship, Maine. Upon registration for this fun and informative 3 day workshop, Pam will contact youwitha suggested mayerials list,and assess her workshop participants to tailor the agenda to best fit all. Pam Cabanas holds a BFA from The New York State College of Ceramics, Alfred University and an MFA the University of New Mexico. Pam”s work has been included in numerous juried and invitational shows around the sate of Maine including The pastel Painrters of Maine International juried show 2006 0,7,08.The Maine Art Gallery, Wiscasset, Annual Juried Exhibition 06, 07 , Round Top Center for the Arts, Damariscotta, River Arts, Damamaricotta, The Court House Fine Art, Ellsworth, The Gallery at Chase Hill, Kennebunkport. Recently Pam headlined a 4 artist show at the Maine Art Gallery, Wiscasset, entitled Landscapes of the Mind. Pam’s workshops for numerous art societies around the state hve been enjoyed and sought after. |
